With this partnership, the NGP will bring about a step change in the discovery process for brain diseases by harnessing and integrating recent advances in genomics, big data, Open Science and the unique patient populations followed at the Neuro and in Quebec. The approach will shed light on disease mechanisms, identify new human biology-based targets and accelerate the development of innovative therapies.
NGP is taking the next leap into integrative neuroscience
Better interlink datasets coming from increasingly complete picture of the brain and its functioning and organization (molecules, cells, micro-circuits, brain areas). Open science + harmonization from multiple initiatives
Better stratification and simulation of brain diseases
Better understand the precise relationship between genes and phenotype and the stratification of diseases into subtypes according to their underlying biological mechanism
Real academic and industrial collaboration
